Ranch Reunion 2008
We had a great time! |

I
guess Thomas, the famous "tree fish" catcher and Patsy are in Amarillo,
and D.L. and Phyllis are back in Fremont, Nebraska. It sure was
wonderful spending some time and sharing some neat experiences with you
guys.
We are getting back to the old grind of clean up and fix up, you know.
I guess everyone else is also. Not much activity on
the website.
I
don't know about you guys, but I bought a case of Rid-X and I faithfully
pour a box down our toilet every week. I don't think I could have stayed
as calm and cool as BarNone did in the situation. We are talking
major mess here, and he didn't even break a sweat! But, that's my
brother!
I
have had several good laughs while looking over the pictures of all you
42ers walking about in the field looking for gold coins. I laugh
because I am reminded of the grumbling and comments that I heard during
the event.
"I
bet he put a few gold coins out here and told us there were 75 just so
we would look around here forever! "What he won't do to get us to stomp
around out here in the weeds looking like dodo's" "Do you really
think he stood over by the fence and thru $75 in gold coins out here in
the grass and weeds?" "Would he do something that crazy?" "Yes, that is
just like him to do something like that!" "If he really did, we will be
out here looking for gold coins for years to come!" "He just wanted us
to look silly walking around out here in the grass like we were looking
for Easter eggs!" "Now I know what it takes to get me to walk
around out here in the weeds and grass among the snakes, chiggers, ants
and thorns in my sandals........gold!"
Well,
dear friends, and I truly mean dear friends, we can't wait until another
adventure brings us together again. In the meantime, take care of
yourselves and each other, laugh as much as you can, stay healthy in
mind and body, don't be too fastidious, don't be too serious, stop and
smell the roses, vote democratic, or at least, not republican, stay
active on the website (DD has worked diligently to maintain this neat
opportunity for us to stay in touch), keep sending the emails cause I
really look forward to them daily, and know that you are loved...very
much. Jargo and Sandy, we missed you but we know you have a full
plate right now. We will stay in touch. Will let you know when we will
be in Amarillo again. I think you and Sandi will enjoy the
"Amarillo" video we made at the ranch.
Keep
in touch,
