Camping on Saddleback Mountain
Johnny and Twila are going camping in the mountains. Johnny loves high altitudes, while Twila enjoys lower altitudes. The region they have agreed to camp in has a grid of 8 roads running through it: 4 running east-west, and 4 running north-south. Both enjoying different elevations of campsites, Johnny and Twila have agreed to decide where they will camp in the following manner: Johnny will choose one of the east-west roads, and Twila will choose one of the north-south roads. They will camp at the intersection of the two chosen roads.
The altitudes of each road at the points they intersect the 4 perpendicular roads are as follows:
East-West roads, listed in order from north to south
EW1: 7000 feet; 2000 feet; 5000 feet, 1000 feet
EW2: 2000 feet; 2000 feet; 3000 feet; 4000 feet
EW3: 5000 feet; 3000 feet; 4000 feet; 4000 feet
EW4: 3000 feet; 2000 feet; 1000 feet; 6000 feet
North-South roads, listed in order from west to east
NS1: 7000 feet; 2000 feet; 5000 feet; 3000 feet
NS2: 2000 feet; 2000 feet; 3000 feet; 2000 feet
NS3: 5000 feet; 3000 feet; 4000 feet; 1000 feet
NS4: 1000 feet; 4000 feet; 4000 feet; 6000 feet
